Nice small town post office
We've had way too much trouble with one postal carrier never delivering our packages because she can't be bothered leaving her vehicle even on perfect days. We've complained to the post master in hopes that this behavior would stop. Our latest package had our address on it correctly when it left the amazon seller (verified it with the seller), but mysteriously had a non-existent address when it came time to deliver to our house. The package will be reshipped, but if this time anything goes amiss, we will demand her termination. In the case that Shepherdstown post office doesn't do this, we will take it as high and to whomever it takes to get that termination done. There is no reason for someone to tamper with our packages and mail especially for a vindictive reason as we've complained about her not doing her job. If you're paying her to do this job, she needs to do it. Plain and simple.
I've never had so many issues with a post office as I do with this one. We lost a key to our cluster boxes and after three months of many returned trips to the post office they still hadn't put in any requests for changing the lock and getting us a key. Thankfully our maintenance man found an extra for us. The post office never resolved the issue and never had a plan in place to.
Honestly, these people handle more mail than any post office than I have ever seen. This town has no mailbox delivery, so they handle all letter delivery and most people have their packages delivered there as well. We have had issues here and there, as is expected in any mail system, and they have always gone out of their way to fix any and and everything. Shepherdstown Post Office is a bit of a social spot here as well, and the employees are as patient as ever with all the patrons who are half making requests/half hugging their neighbors. They are everything you could dream of in a little post office in a little town.
