When you pull up to the building, all the prime parking at the front of the building I s reserved for their employees. Guest parking is very far away. When we walked into the lobby, the concierge stared at her computer screen, ignored us and acted like she hoped we wouldn’t bother her. When I walked into the room, the light switch didn’t work and I had to fumble around in the dark to find a lamp. The walls are beat up and need painted. The shower has mildew throughout. There is grime on all the doors around the doorknobs. The pillows are strangely miniaturized and awkward. The overall attitude of their staff is inhospitable.
I wouldn't stay here again, even if my company tries to send me here.
Went for the Thanksgiving Dinner/Buffet meal. Rather crowded, but that was expected. Were seated quickly (you need reservations, and are given a time). Lines went quickly, food was plentiful. Food quality was good but there didn't seem to be the variety that there has been in the past, and the girls commented on the quality not being quite there either as it has been. Have gone the last few years - not sure if we'll go next year or not.
Good food at the Clarion conference center, we go on certain holidays for the buffet. This year we attended a Thanksgiving brunch with turkey, steak, salmon, salads and very good sides and desserts. It's pretty reasonably priced and the service is quick and polite. Ballroom is older but tasteful.
Decorated well and well priced, the rooms and food are a little lack luster. The staff is extremely nice. There is some history here I'm not fully aware of, and there is a wall of celebrity photos and autographs that's pretty cool. Bar was extremely well priced for drinks and had a good atmosphere.
On the good side, the bathroom was really big and they have lots of amenities.
Really bad. I had to go downstairs and get new pillowcases because mine had boogers and hair on them. The room was run down and the air conditioner barely worked while the sun was out. The refrigerator didn't close all the way and there was a gap at the top. There was a giant burn or stain in the carpet as you enter the room. The walls were marked up and dirty as well.
